You Must Produce Valid ID Prior To Signing

A Notary must identify the document signer by examining and verifying one of the identification documents listed below. The ID must be current and also contain the signer’s physical description, photograph, ID number, and signature. If you cannot produce acceptable identification, we may be able to verify your identify with 2 credible witness.


The following types of identification are recognized and accepted in the state of California. Identification must be current and issued within the last five years. Expired ID cards will not be accepted, All ID cards must have a photo, physical description, signature and identification number.

Acceptable Forms of Identification

 

  • DMV Issued Driver License
  • Government or DMV ID card
  • State or Government Senior ID card
  • Employee ID from State or Government
  • United States Passport
  • U.S. Military ID Card
  • Foreign Passport
  • California DOC Inmate ID
  • Consular Identification
  • Tribal Government ID
